La actriz estadounidense Zendaya dominó el domingo los MTV Movie & TV Awards con su drama adolescente Euphoria y la superproducción de superhéroes Spider-Man: No Way Home, que fueron votados como Mejor Programa y Mejor Película, respectivamente.
Los premios son votados en línea por el público y tienden a reconocer los éxitos comerciales y populares, que cuentan con un gran número de fans en las redes sociales.
Zendaya, exestrella infantil de Disney de 25 años de edad con una enorme popularidad, ganó el premio a la Mejor Interpretación con Euphoria, una serie de HBO que muestra una mirada a menudo sombría y dura sobre la vida moderna de los adolescentes.
La serie también ganó premios poco convencionales como la Mejor Pelea.
Por su parte, Spider-Man: Sin salida, la película más taquillera desde la pandemia, se coronó como Mejor Filme.
La cinta ha ganado casi 1.900 millones de dólares en todo el mundo, y es el tercer mayor éxito de la historia en los cines nacionales en Estados Unidos.
Tom Holland, novio de Zendaya en la pantalla y en la vida real, ganó el premio a la Mejor Interpretación en un filme, con su papel del hombre araña. Ninguno de los dos asistió en persona a la ceremonia en Santa Mónica, cerca de Los Ángeles.
Entre los galardonados figuran Daniel Radcliffe, que ganó el premio al Mejor Villano por la comedia de aventuras La ciudad perdida, y Jack Black, homenajeado por la MTV por su carrera.
